HP265 Steel: Reliable Base Material for Pressure Vessels

HP265 is a special pressure vessel steel mainly used in manufacturing medium and low-pressure pressure vessels and boiler components. It complies with relevant standards for pressure vessel steels, emphasizing a balance between strength and weldability.

HP265 features good pressure resistance and welding stability, with a yield strength ≥265MPa and tensile strength of 410-530MPa, capable of withstanding certain internal pressure without deformation. It has high purity with low sulfur and phosphorus content (≤0.025%), rarely producing pores or cracks during welding, suitable for the sealing requirements of pressure vessels. Chemically, it contains ≤0.20% carbon, 0.50%-1.20% manganese, and 0.10%-0.40% silicon, ensuring good plasticity and toughness.

Applications focus on pressure vessel manufacturing, such as chemical storage tanks, boiler drums, heat exchanger shells, as well as pressure tanks in food processing equipment and sterile pressure vessels in the pharmaceutical industry. In medium and low-pressure environments with working pressure not exceeding 10MPa, HP265 reliably ensures equipment sealing and structural safety, meeting industry safety standards.
