EN S355J2 belongs to high strength structural steel under EN 10025 specification. Similar to S355JR, it has a minimum yield strength of 355 MPa; the suffix J2 distinguishes it by mandatory Charpy impact test at -20°C. This low-temperature toughness makes S355J2 essential for structures operating in cold climates or bearing dynamic impact loads.S355J2 adopts fine grain production technology to achieve stable internal metallurgical structure. It retains good weldability and formability while offering superior anti-brittle fracture performance compared to S355JR.
